Welcome to CommuniCat. By downloading, installing, or using the CommuniCat mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

1. About the App

CommuniCat is an entertainment application that uses artificial intelligence (Google Gemini) to generate humorous, fictional "translations" of cat photos. The translations are entirely fictional and generated for entertainment purposes only. They do not represent actual cat thoughts, emotions, or scientific analysis.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you should have permission from a parent or guardian.

3. User Accounts

The App creates an anonymous account automatically when you first use it. You do not need to provide any personal information such as your name, email, or phone number. Your account is identified by an anonymous user ID stored on your device.

4. Free and Premium Features

Free users have access to basic translation features with a daily energy limit and advertisements. Premium subscribers enjoy unlimited translations, all mood personalities, and an ad-free experience.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

• CommuniCat offers auto-renewable subscription plans (monthly and yearly).
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time through your device's subscription settings (App Store → Apple ID → Subscriptions, or Google Play → Subscriptions).
• No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods. Refund requests should be directed to Apple or Google as applicable.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Upload photos that contain inappropriate, offensive, or illegal content
• Attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or tamper with the App
• Circumvent any security or access restrictions of the App
• Abuse the energy/credit system through account manipulation

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, graphics, animations, and content, is owned by CommuniCat - Cat Translation and is protected by intellectual property laws. AI-generated translations are provided for your personal use. You may share translation results through the App's built-in sharing features.

8. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

All cat "translations" are generated by artificial intelligence for entertainment purposes only. The content is fictional and does not represent real animal communication. We do not guarantee the accuracy, appropriateness, or suitability of AI-generated content. Use the generated content at your own discretion.

9. Photos

Photos you provide are sent to Google Gemini AI for processing and are not stored on our servers. Photos remain on your device. We do not claim any ownership over photos you provide through the App.

10. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through the Profile screen in the App. Deleting your account will permanently remove your translation history and user data from our systems. Active subscriptions must be cancelled separately through your device's subscription settings.

11. Advertisements

Free users will see advertisements provided by Google AdMob. Ad content is determined by Google and is not controlled by us. Premium subscribers do not see advertisements.

12. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

13. Service Availability

We strive to keep the App available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The App requires an internet connection to function. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature at any time without prior notice.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
